Join us and our partners AAF Sacramento for a live Portfolio Review. A panel of local Directors and hiring managers will review a small number of portfolios live! Stick around to talk with the panelists after the presentation and get some tips on how to improve your portfolio!
We are currently accepting submissions for portfolios to be reviewed. After the portfolios have been reviewed by the panelists, we will choose a select few to present at the event. By submitting your portfolio for review, you are agreeing to have your portfolio presented at our live event. Please note in the submission form if you are not comfortable with this.
Meet the panelists
Landon Lee
Landon is a multi-skilled creative aficionado, with over 14 years of professional experience. In his tenure, he’s had the pleasure of working with a wide range of clients, including non-profits, government entities, local organizations, and even tech startups. Landon prides himself on delivering strategic creative solutions, with his keen eye for detail, and a passion for meaningful work.
Don Button
Don is a professor of Design & Digital Media at Sacramento City College. As a professional graphic designer, art director, and photographer since 1987, he has devoted his career to creating bold, innovative visual communication, dramatic imagery, and “preaching the gospel of form and function".
Although the bulk of his experience is in publication design and art direction, his portfolio includes work in identity, marketing, websites, menus, signage, environmental graphics, photography and illustration. His design work has received over two dozen individual and group awards, and has been featured in both Print and How Magazines.
As a full-time educator, Don has taught digital design and software courses since 1999 and specialize in page layout, digital imaging and illustration, user interface design, and portfolio development.
Stacey Baradit
Stacey specializes in UX Design, and has spent the last decade working in China and Japan, as well as working on big data UIs at Apple. Most recently, she enjoys the challenge that big data and AI presents in human-computer interfaces.
Michael Bielefelt
Serving as a member of the leadership team of VSP Global’s in-house agency, I lead a team with a reputation of creative excellence in within a dynamic company in an evolving industry. Understanding customer/member/client/and internal stakeholder needs, I guide all disciplines of the design team in delivering on creative strategy and tactical executions.
As Sr. Art Director, I continually represent the creative discipline and craft inside the projects that are developed by the creative team. Empathetically and enthusiastically shaping the team in an effort to guide the overall direction, style, and methodology behind the work. As natural team-builder and storyteller, I understand the technical while inspiring best-in-class creative. I am driven to collaborate and build upon the vision and ideas of others to create something bigger, ultimately delivering superior-quality work that meets business objectives while being distinctive in the industry.
I have the pleasure of managing a superior team comprised of Art Directors, Sr. Designers and Graphic Designers and Creative Writer; responsible for the artistic development of marketing and promotional pieces, including print, online, email, and collateral materials; and internal and external corporate publications. In addition, provide guidance to a larger team of designers, production artists, videographers, motion designers and creative freelancers.
